Hiya, I have this lemon tetra (i think), and in the last couple of days he/she has gotten crazily bloated. Like twice the size almost. The poor think looks like its going to pop.

Its still got a mean appetite (which i have been limiting), and is swimming reasonably well. The fins look all ok, so I do not think it is dropsy, not that I know what dropsy looks like realy.

Any ideas? Your help is appreciated.

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrate, and ph.

What do you feed the fish?
Do you over feed bloodworms, or freeze dried foods.
Are scales sticking out.
Can he maintain balance in the water.
What does it look like when he goes to the toilet.

For now don't feed any dry foods for a few days.
Feed some shelled peas.
For bloating, epson salt baths to help draw the fluids out.
