So about a month ago I bought a red and black and purple DT from the pet store here. He seemed to be very well, and was eating even the first day i got him in his new tank.

Everyday I check him, and he is happy. Last night when I was feeding him, he was sitting under the food which was floating, and he didn't seem to notice it there, it started to sink and of course fell on him, and he freaked out thrashing around, he couldn't find the food. His eyes look very very light, i put my finger right in front of his eyes, and he just sits as though nothing is there.

Does anyone know if he is blind? I am assuming he is from his behaviour. Any one know reasons why? Or if anyway to fix this, or make it easier?

Please let me know. I am worried about him.

if he is blind , tap the tank before you feed him. he should get cused to this and realise its food time when the tank is tapped. synirr does it with her albinos i think......

Thanks, but is there anyway of telling how this happened? it worries me.
