Blackwater Extract

Hey all, I was just wondering if blackwater extract really makes fish want to spawn? If so what kind of fish? Would it make corydorus catfish want to spawn?

well, i know it helps bettas health out. just do some reasearch on the fish you are wondering about, if it lives in blackwater, then it will help.

if the fish I have does live in blackwater, would it trigger them to spawn?

Not if its unhappy, if you are keeping your fish in water of an appropriate pH and it is clean and of an appropriate hardness and not overstocked and they are not underfed then reproduction is highly likely in most species, blackwater will help them get there, but in most cases its not needed, however it is good stuff and will improve the lives of your fish.

if it's cory's your after spawning the biggest issue I've heard of is the temp, they won't do it unless it gets down to something like 21
