i'm currently doing a blackout o try and shift an algae bloom, but being naughty i took a sneaky peak, and one of my plants whose name escapes me seems to be suffering already

so should i add c02 i have not had it before to my tank, nitrates at 10 ppm,in the hope hat the plants will out compete the algea or do i leave it with a black out, or try one then the other?

black out has been for 24 hours now how long should i leave it??

co2 is useless without light, dont add it till the blackout's over.

as to how long, i've never done one but i think theres a walkthrough on gf225's pinned topic in planted section

As Jimbooo said, turn off the CO2.

If you follow the instructions given by Sime in his thread, you will be ok.

Good luck!
