Black Widow Tetra

so i bought 6 black widow tetra last sunday and up untill yesterday they all swam round together but now 1 of the females is just staying in 1 corner all the time and the only other fish allowed in that area are my 2 blue acara's if any of the other black widows come near she chase's them away
has anyone else seen this before with black widow tetra

She may be sick. Is it just me, or are Blue Acara's not supposed to be kept with Black Widow Tetra's? I am not sure, since I haven't read up on Acara's, it seems to be an odd combination. I wouldn't be too worried about the Female though, she most likely is fine.

i dont see any reason why you cant keep them together while there young as the black widows grow really fast there still bigger than the acara for now and they can swim twice as fast as the acara they seem to get on really well sometimes the acara even swim in the shoal with them which is quite funny to watch
i was sold the acara as dwarf flag acara which is why there in with the black widow when they get too big i will have to either re house them or let them go its a shame if they have to go as they are great additions

i think once they get bigger than the BW tetras i may re house them as the tetras where bought to be tank mates for my agassizi which im growing on in a smaller tank
lfs sold me the blue acara as dwarfs as my plan is a hareem of agassizi 1male 3female cavity spawning and a pair of open spawning dwarfs i was after red flag acara then the BW tetras trying for a SA biotape
