I've got some black spots on the inside of the tank. the whole tank looks dirty...how do I wash the inside and is there something going on that I should be aware of. I've been doing my water changes and the water looks good.

....how do I was the inside.... Sorry but this doesn't make any sense!

Did you give the tank a thorough clean before you filled it? Sounds like mould!

Can you post a picture? Do you have fish in there yet?

I assume you're talking about on the glass. If so, it is most likely algae. You can use an algae scraper (be careful around the silicone corners) or an algae mitt. I've also found that a filter pack worked well. Have you tested for ammonia and nitrite? I doubt that there's anything to worry about.

How do I wash the inside? is it.
LoL you know I read and reread that sentance and I just couldn't work out if there were words or letters missing!

I would not have figured it out either. I read it several times before I scrolled down and saw KJs post.

I've neved had to WASH the inside of the other tank. The water test all came out good.

Algae may grow in one tank and not in the other. Factors such as light, nitrate level, etc. can play a factor.
