Welcome to our forum, PMJ. It is always a pleasure to have a new member here.
It is better to judge the gender of your mollies yourself. P@H may or may not know what they are talking about depending on which shop you visit. Common livebearers are easy to sex. The female of the species has an anal fin, the one next to where they eliminate waste, that is called trin=]gular or fan shaped. This livebearer, another species, is a female of her species and has that fan shaped fin.
This male of the same species has the linear anal fin, called a gonopodium, that is used as a sex organ to fertilize the female.
I carry a link in my signature that is intended to help people new to mollies to judge for themselves where their own molly might be in its reproductive cycle. It is called My Molly's Progress in the link.
