I hate to say it but you should probably QT him so it doesn't happen to any other fish. Not sure if it's contagious.
 
try adding 1 teaspoon of salt to every gallon of water in your tank. if its a bacterial swim bladder problem the salt should sort it thanks to its osmotic properties. good luck
 
I lost mine last night. I put it down to a PH drop after a small water change. I have no idea why the ph dropped from 7.0 to 6.5 so quickly, I only did a 10% water change...

Check your hardness, the lower the hardness the more likely the ph is to crash. If it's soft add less chems.
 
Can you please fill out this so we can sort a way to prevent it, SBD is caused from overfeeding, and no weekly fasting so I would advise that you try not to feed a lot, and fast the fish once a week.

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: The only thing I add is dechlor and seachem flourish

Tank inhabitants: Kribs, Black phantom tetras and otos

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration): otos

Exposure to chemicals: just flourish and dechlor

hmmm, i recomend that you do a water change to lower the ammonia, as it should be about 0 :good: the ammonia is leading to stress which is the largest factor in this becuase it lowers the immune system
