Have 3 in a 40 Liter Fang the one i question was bought second 2 weeks after the first and 2 weeks befor the second. All about the same size and started growing exceped fang. he the got Swimbladder infection witch was ok we worker through it was fine for about 5 days then he started to just lay there on a plant !! The other two are fine getting one great but theres something realy wrong with fang!

Got my old 10 liter out filled it cycled it and he's now got his own tank. Though he would get better but nope! and now he won't eat! the pellets i have he spits back out and hes to week to swim after flakes at the sarface! I've taken to netting him then putting food (flake) right by his mouth so he will feed.

Silly thing is that I didn't want any black moors but my girlfriend said it would look nice as a night lite in the bedroom so I went about setting up the tank. Now after all the effort I've put in Nursing Fang through the swimbladder infection and all that I've found myself becomming very attached to the litter sucker.

Don't know if anyone could of can for that matter, help me. However suggestions would be very welcome

Firstly, there are too many moors in your tank. If they are still very tiny then the 40l will be sufficient for a few months, but ideally three goldfish should be in a 110l tank MINIMUM if there's a really good filter in there. Bigger is better.
So far as feeding him goes, try defrosting some frozen bloodworm and see if he takes it in his tank rather than netting him up each time as this is quite stressful.
How did you treat the swimbladder problem? Am I right in saying that his symptoms are: lethargy and appetite loss? Are there any other symptoms?
It's possible that the swimbladder infection has not completely cleared up or has caused some internal damage. How long did you treat for swimbladder? Sometimes these things don't clear up as quickly as we'd like. I would suggest that you get some aquarium tonic salt like 'Aqualibrium' or API's aquarium salt for freshwater fish and dose the ill moor's tank to the maximum dosage on the packet over a few days according to their instructions. Whilst your moors are a coldwater fish, many fancy goldfish prefer the water to be ever so slightly warmer than their common cousins. I like to keep my fancy goldfish between 23C and 24C. Make sure there is enough surface agitation in the tank and if necessary put an airstone in there to increase the oxygen content of the water.

where exactly is he lying? on the gravel or is he floating, what position is he in? Is he breathing faster than normal, how are the fins, still up and erect or laying flat. Does he swim around at all? Any signs of rubbing against anything? Seen him poo recently and if so what did it look like.

Dont try to feed him for three days.

When you do start feeding him again try not to net him as this might stress him out. Try bringing food to him rather than him to the food.

Lying on the gravel belly down Breathing normal fins ok Dosal erect no rubbing on things poo on thick and red/brown.

Fed him blood worm no net

He got an air stone (loasa bubbles)

I'll try getting a heater (getting cold here in surrey) 4C this morning when i got up!!

Had salt already

Had tetament for the swimbladder Sould i try again?

The other two are going into a 60l by crimbo and if fang makes in then he will get the 40l and the 10l will be left.
