hi all. Is it ok that we have 2 black moors in our heated tank. I got them from a local aquarium but my husband went to a different one today and said he saw them in the cold water fish section!!! Now worries I'm cooking them!! TIA

Hi, I'm afraid that black moors are goldfish and all types of goldfish are cold water fish and should not be kept in a heated aquarium. They also need a large tank - for just the 2 black moors you need 150 litres (40 US gallons).

You need to either return the moors to the shop they came from or buy another tank of at least 150 litres for them. If you decide to return them, you should explain to the shop that mis-sold them if they said they were tropical fish.

Should you decide to keep them, I would start by reading this http://www.fishforums.net/threads/goldfish-for-beginners.417799/
