I have just bought some Interpet Anti Hair Algae treatment after my plants started sprouting black hair. Having cleaned out the tank and got rid of affected plants and introduced new ones i have given my tank its first dose of this treatment. It says to remove the carbon filter media but does not say how long for. Can anyone advice? :S

Activated carbon will remove lots of things from your water, including many aquarium medications. You should therefore remove the carbon for the duration of the treatment. If carbon is put in, it will remove your medication from the tank water. :good:
