Black Fuzz?

i tried to get a picture but i cant. there is this black fuzz looking stuff on the top of some of my tank decorations and heater and filter and theres little white bubbles on it. what is this stuff? how can i get rid of it?

sounds like algae. I have some on my crytochorine plants. I think I read in the plants section that to get rid of it you need to increase your co2
