I bought some decorative art sand from an art store to use in my cory fry tanks (c. habrosus). Normally I use play sand but I can't see their little bodies on the sand. I thought black would be good so I can see their white bodies stick out.
However this sand is really weird. I put it in a bucket to rinse, the water stayed clear but the sand almost didn't become wet...? I would move it around and take it out and it would look dry and it clumps up like clay almost.
Is this safe to use?
