Black coral sand

Does anyone know anywhere in north west England where you can buy black coral sand?

Great, thanks. I normally go to Maidenhead Aquatics in Bold Heath. They only buy it in by the pallet load and have completely sold out. They say they won't have anymore until after Christmas.

No, probably a large shoal of neon tetras. Undecided on how many discus and what other fish to get though.

YUMMMM... I still dunno why so many people keep neons with discus, what else do they expect to happen.

Many people keep discus with neons and have no problems.

It all depends on the circumstances with the neons but it may not be the best idea. BTW, it looks like black coral sand is crushed coral after all? That won't be good for keeping neons or discus - they need soft water.

The best INERT black sand IME is 'Tahitian Moon' from Caribsea. we use it in a couple of our tanks. Looks great and is fine for freshwater aquaria.

At least three of the LFSs around here (East Anglia) stock it at around £12 a bag, so I'd be surprised if someone near you doesn't stock it.
