Hes still not big enough to take larger insects like Crickets so he is on Floating Carnivore Sticks and Bloodworms until he can move on. He has become alot thicker and stronger and now has a go at just about anything he thinks he could get in his mouth. He is around 4-5" currently.

Hi kaz,

Black Arowanas are surrounded by a bit of uncertainty regarding their eventual size. Some believe they will grow just as big as Silver Arowanas reaching upto 48" in length whilst others believe they are smaller and in captivity will only reach 24-30". I tend to sway towards the smaller argument because of the rate of growth of this guy and the fact that I can't recall any I have heard of over 30".
