So I have a baby Oscar in my 120 gallon and he had no tank mates so he had the 120 gallon all to himself. He is about 3 inches now and he seemed really lonely so I went to the fish store and decided to pick out a tank mate for him.
I asked the salesman and he said to either get another oscar or a parrot cichlid. I saw this adorable black and white parrot so I bought him and added him to the 120 gallon. The parrot is about the same size as my oscar if not, a little bigger.
When I added him to the tank they checked each other out for awhile and then they started fighting and biting each others mouth/face area. I figured this was normal as they were getting to know each other and what not.
My parrot lastnight was stuck to the filter and everytime I moved the filter he would swim back to it and attach himself to it. After awhile of moving it, he swam into his little cave area. Now all he does is stay in his cave and not come out.
Should I return the parrot or just give them awhile to adjust to each other?
