Bitten By Fish?

Never really had too many thoughts of my fish biting me from my tanks. But three years ago, we were fishing here in Michigan, in Lake St. Clair for Great Lakes Musky. Well we hook and released 5 nice musky that day. While reeling in the lines to pack it in for the day. I had another fish hit. I reeled it in, got it up along side the boat. And decided to release the fish in the water. I took out my needle nose plyers to unhook the musky. Well damn if he doesn't lunged at me and bites me on the hand. It tore a tendon in the back of my hand and left me with 34 stitches, and over 2 hours on the operating table. To this day my hand still isn't right.

I've never gotten hurt from a fish biting me, the worst I've gotten was a 4" bichir trying to take my finger off (Harmless at that size)

never been bitten by one of my own fish but I did have my hand sliced open by a 3 foot Grouper when deep sea fishing in Indonesia years ago.

Got him on the line and it took about half hour to reel him in.

Once he was in the boat I tried to pick him up......unbeknown to me (at the time ) ) his dorsal fins were razor sharp and as I put my hand on the top of him to get hold his fins shot up and sliced right through my hand .

Hospital treatment followed shortly after!!

Used to have a tank full of Red Belleied Piranha's (6) all at 8-9inches - One deceided when I was doing a bit of Tank cleaning to take a nip at me. Suffice to say that when ever I went near the tank this fish was a the front of the group... Yes I could tell him appart from the others.......

They were moved on a while later.....

Hi..the guy at my lfs was hit by a piranha the other day...his finger..while cleaning or doing something in the tank. Required stitches. Said it hurt like hell. I've been stung by firecoral and some types of small jellyfish while scuba diving. That's not fun.SH

I was at the beach one night... with a girl... so romantic... until I stepped on a jellyfish... not fun... romance died quick.

My mbuna bite but it doesn't hurt much, It can make you jump though if you don't expect it

Rosy barbs nibble at your fingers. They're so hungry all the time i guess they just hope theres gonna be some food there or something. It feels funny when the swim through your fingers too.

Had a silver dollar that would always nibble on my fingers. Kinda hurt. They bite rather hard.
