Bistlenose Fry Going Into The Filter!

Yesterday I caught one of my Baby bristle noses (I think their awesome) going into the filter. They can easily fit and being a Juwel filter there are several places they can get in. If they go in they would have to get past all the sponges first before they got to the impeller, but I wouldn't put it past them! This is the first time I have seen this happen and it has me worried, I would be absolutely mortified if one was killed by the filter, Is there anything I can do to stop them going in? I have kind of tried to put some filter wool over the entrance, buts its not majorly effective. So far none have died and I'm feeling hopeful, but this has gotten me worried
Any advice would be appreciated.

Could you stretch some tights over it? ive done this over my filter in my cory fry tank and it works fine.
