Just like to say a big thankyou to everyone on the forum who helped me through my fish in cycle
Im now 6 weeks in and everythings going according to plan im now fully stocked in my 30ltr orb with 4 harliquin rasboras,4 neon tetras,(they survived the process!) and 1white cloud minnow soon to be re-homed.
My plan now is to re-home my goldfish from my 50ltr tank as since joining the forum i learnt to my utter horror that my tank is too small for them. i will be very sad to see them go but i cannot re-home them in my home. After checking in the coldwater section this is the best time to move them to the pond of my neighbour this weekend while the weather is warmer.
So i would appreciate a little advice as i would like to turn my coldwater tank tropical. i already have a heater to go in. My
main concern is that if dont have any fish in over night will my existing bacteria survive until i put the new fish in? The tank is fully matured my and readings are nitrtite 0
ammonia 0
nitrate 10
Is it ok to put the tropicals in straight away as soon as the temperature is ready?
Am i going about this the right way. any help or advice would be very welcome
Thanks
