I've been thinking of switching from biomax to bioballs. Does any one think one or the other has an advantage to the other? I tried finding info but came up empty.
thanks

Biomax will likely have a higher surface area:volume ratio to start with, bu the smaller channels will soon get clogged in most systems. Bioballs are cheap and very easy to fill a large area, but tend to leave gaps.

If you have a huge filtration volume to fill (such as a large trickle tower) then bioballs will do you well, otherwise the biomax will be more than enough.

Well i was thinking of filling the FX5 with them do you think that will work?
