Bioload Of Amano Shrimp?

How does the load on an aquarium's filter system compare between amano shrimps and equivalent number of fish of the same size? Do the shrimps produce more or less waste products? I vaguely recall hearing that they don't produce as much ammonia etc. but since I can't find where this info comes from I might be completely wrong!

As far as I know, shrimp produce far less waste as compared to fish they are however more sensitive to water quality,.
I have shrimp of various species in all my tanks, though I think my tanks are understocked, & I do probably more water changes than I really need to
