Big Mbuna

So my 55 gal is cycling now, been doing it for about a week.

Anyway. I was wondering whats the largest of the mbuna?
and would I be able to house it w/ other mbuna in a 55gal w/ bristnose?

I was told the bumblebee cichlid is the largest, and the LFS showed me one. He was only about an inch, and showed faint gold bars on his side. A start of some black at the top of the dorsal fin was starting as well. Far from the pictures I've seen online. Is this accurate?

So the Crabo are the bumblebee cichlids? Are they colors evident when they are that small? The lfs had him selling for $9.99, he was only 1 inch.

Yep Bumble bee is a name commonly used for Crabro. The colours should be clear even as juveniles.

They grow fast as well, I got my lone female at about 1-inch around 2 months ago, she's now around 3 inches and growing. She was the same size as one of my lab fry, and is now close in size to my adult labs.

This is kind of a crappy pic, but it'll give you an idea of what a growing female looks like.
