i want it all setup and stocked and the fish to be on top form by the time i get there!
sorry i keep missing you guys. i PMed Ian back now tho.
tank plans sounds awesome.
ha ha, i wish!! were not getting it until next weekend so you'll miss it. you can come round after though and see it
you can however see the empty space where it's going to go and the rest of the tanks. Getting my pretty betta delivereed today so you can be one of the first to meet him too
no worries love. Ian's at work but i'll get him to pm you this aft/tonight. He'll probably be home around 3
should also probably tell you guys how the moving went. well it was joyous!! starte off so well, take the lids and equipment off both tanks, catch the fish, bag them up take them to the lfs. fine
come home to put the fish we're re-homing amongst our other tanks into a bucket, move a bit of wood........ oooh yeah, we were meant to take the talking catfish to the lfs too

.... never bloody see him so we forgot!! have a right flap and panic over what tank he's going to go into as there's endlers in the one we're moving the rest of the fish too.... and he'd eat them. Toy with the idea of him going into Ian's big tank but we'd never find him again. Then remember we haven't actually stripped down the 3 footer upstairs... phew he can sit in there overnight and we'll take him to the lfs in the morning......
so we then drain and strip the two tanks down, start to scoop out the substrate.... i the (accidentaly) almost gouge Ian's eye out with a fishy jug

(sorry again hun!!) lots of shouting and swearing for a few mins. Then we moved the 4 foot tank upstairs.... I love having a big strong fella, I didn't even have to help!

so we then set the tank back up, put the fish from the 3 footer into theyr'e new 4 footer, put the talking catfish into the 3 footer, then the rest of the fish into the 4 footer. yay all sorted......... or so we thought. I was just tinkering with arranging plants and decor when Ian spots that the filter is leaking all over the floor.

bugger. Took us forever to figure out why, must have got knocked somehow and the seal's buggered. So eventually we manage to get it set up, sat in a bucket which we're keping a v close eye on so it doesn't overflow. Then the bloody thing won't start again, and we bought it 2nd hand and don't have the primer for it so each time we try and start it we have to suck on the end and get a gob full of fishy water. mmmmm nice

anyway we eventually got it working about 8.30 (we started all this about 4pm).
Then it's the turn of the betta tanks, I get my new one today so we had to move yet morefish around. Molly's... bugger they were meant to go to the lfs too

bung em in with the catfish and they'll go tomorrow as well. Moved Ian's betta no problems, fingers crossed the move doesn't stress him and I'm just waiting for my betta Binky to arrive today.
so we've now got 4 tanks in the bedroom instead of 3 (and what's even worse is we both admitted we thought it was OK where it was, we could probably just about keep it going.... no bad mts bad mts stop it!!

). But we ARE going to re-home the fish tonight and strip down that tank. It's going to live in the basement with the 4 footer as hospital/quarantine/grow out tanks.
phew bit of a big night, ended up getting a mountain of takeaway pizza having a glass of wine and just chilling out for a few hrs.
then we've got to do it all again tonight with the fish to the lfs.... then next week we have to move a marine tank which it's going to be sooo much fun
