As you guys know.... i had to buy a emergency 15 gal tank when my irridescents got bit by the piranhas.....but now, i SWITCHED everything around... i put my piranha in the 15 with the 2 baby convics
and i put my 2 irridescents ,bala, baby blue whale etc etc in my 30 gal.....so they would have more space.....but now....my piranha is breathing very quickly.....think he is shocked from going from the palace to the hood......i put some stress drops in there.....put he is just staying at one spot thats it!!!????

what should i do ?????

Ok get rid of the pirhanas man You shouldn't really have pirhanas with any fish and how big is the tank?

If the tank is brand new its going to be cycling(you can find out what cycling is in the pinned articles in the beginners section), for a cycling tank you are going to need to be doing lots of water changes with dechlorinator(are you properly decholrinating your water?) like a 40% one once every 2days at least-did you acclimatise the fish at all and for how long to the new tank?

I have to say though unless you get some realy big tanks for your fish or rehome them, there going to be no hope for them in the long term and you will keep getting problems. Piranhas will often cannibalise each other when they feel the tank is not big enough for them and a 15gal big enough, so be aware.
What are you feeding your fish currently and how much?

i got my piranha and 2 baby convicts in the 15 and the rest in the 30 gal tank....
i feed my piranha blood worms... shrimp....feeder fish

my ph is ok ...

my ammonia is 2.0

i ll do a water change tommorow....

anyways...isnt it better this way cuz i had 4 sharks 1 window sucker 1 whale fish 1 headstander etc etc all in the little 15 gal ??????

i think its better that way

and in the other one i only have the piranha and 2 small convicts......

am i wrong ?

Ok, your ammonia is very high, so your tank is definately cycling. If I were you, I would do a water change tonight. Start with 25%, and if you are still up in 2 hours, do another 25%, and so on until you go to bed. Your fish are already acting stressed, so you don't want to leave them for too much longer.

Why you are having more trouble with two tanks instead of one is only one tank has had the chance to get the beneficial bacteria growing in it. If I were you, I would cut off about 1/4 of your spounge and add it to the new tank. Hopefully you will get the beneficial bacteria really jumpstarted.

bigger tank for who ?
and by the way the 2 tanks were at the same temp ( 25degrees) when i did the switch...

Having the same temperature makes it easier for the fish, but that says nothing about having beneficial bacteria in the other tank. Without the bacteria to break down the fish's waste, ammonia will build up and poison your fish, which is what is happening right now.

do you realize how big all those fish get? your tanks are not even close to the right size..... plus that ammonia reading of 2.0 is your problem, that is very toxic to the fish. waterchange is needed, and see if you cant sell the fish back to the store, or buy a 150 gallon at least, that should house those fish most their lives

This why you need to get a larger tank;

Red belly piranha=12inchs, looking at about a 90gal tank just for them.

Irredescent shark=3ft long, minimum 200gal

http://www.aquariacentral.com/species/db.c...&view_records=1

Bala shark=16inchs max, looking at around 75gals

http://fish.mongabay.com/species/Balantioc...lanopterus.html

(they also prefer to be kept in groups of 3)
(can't help you with the whale fish)

Convicts=5-6inchs, 20gals.

So we are talking about alot of gallons and the piranhas are going to need their own large tank! Im not sure on the whale fish, but the only fish you have that could live happily in any of your tanks is the convicts in the 30gal.
