Big Beautiful Bala's

[SPO-00L]

well i decided to go to the LFS today to buy the fluval fx5 for my new tank which is nearly ready to go, and came across 2 big bala's for sale which i just couldnt say no to. The first one is "Bob" who i have had for about 1 year now, i bought him at about 11 inches, he is now about 12, the second is "pudgy" and the third is "Bob Jnr."

The welder is nearly finished with the stand, im currently doing a fishless cycle on the new filter in the garage, hopefully everything well be ready to rock and roll in the next fortnight

That is a unique tank, but I am still not convinced of it being all that great for keeping balas. As well as swimming fast in a straight line mine like to turn and carry on swimming. That tank doesn't look all that wide towards the ends.

there pretty big down my local zoo they got some that size maybe even bigger.
How many USG's is that tank?? and if your having it there by that widow i would put a curtain up as you will have algae problems in the futurte otherwise (sorry is that just a inside window??)

its just an indoor window. there is no direct sunlight there.

im not exactly sure on the equation, but i would say between 300 - 320 usg. Its around 1000 litres (its hard to calculate cause of the shape)

tenecor? nah, i use to work for a plastic's fabrication company. It was on display at our factory for a couple of years to show our customers what we could do, and i asked the boss if he wanted to sell it. And luckily enough he let my buy the tank with the hood for $400. I had to get the stand custom made to suit it
