hey all
right well i got 3 of them and one of them has black fins and the other two dont
so anyway today ive lookedim my tank and there is the black find one sitting on the filter wiv a very very fat tummy
anyone hav any ideas what it could be???
its not over feeding coz they havnt been fed today
im really not sure what it is
any help would be great

it means he either ate all the food last night... or ate something else in the tank, like a fish mate.

Yeah what fish is it in with.
My polypterus ornatapinnis had a go at eating my 2" firemouth - thankfully i noticed and saved it somehow.

you can't expect to put a predator in a tank with other
fish and not have some of those fish go 'missing'

Yes, it is very common when keeping predatory fish to lose a few smaller fish time to time.

bichirs are slow digesters. I often see a bulge for days after they eat prawns.
