Just didn't seem like a polite way of putting your suggestion to me either , kind of condescending , just the feeling I got .

Oh basically the fish in question are mine as well , and thanks everyone for your concern , we will be changing to sand , because that is what my Son wants .

We have a little over 50 pounds of clean sand, that should be sufficient for the 55g

My geo sifts the gravel and doesn't seem to mind We have pretty fine gravel though.

The sand is in, the fish are moved Once the water clears up I'll put the rocks back in, then the fish

Most of the fish are back in the tank now, but I'm letting the African butterfly and mogurnda stay in the temporary tank for a while, both seem to like it better

I'll try to get a few pics up, it looks pretty nice now
