the average fish keepercould not house 2 of these could they?when i asked about them being kept seperate they said no they are fine together and when i asked about their adult size they said "not big"
how big were they in the shop ??? i'm sure they were only about £5 each in my lfs these were about 3 inches long & from what i've read they need 75 + gallon tanks & are agressive to their own kind.
i really wanted them but decided against it as my biggest tank is only 59 uk gallons
Two knife fish of any tipe can't live in a tank, because they use a weak current of electricity to navigate, if there were two they would be wery confused, and there is a big possability they would die because of it.
And they grow huge...up to 2 and a half feet in the wild. Having said that most LFS's IME keep them together in tanks....no saying it's right, but they do...
