my local maidenhead aquatics are selling bgk,s 1 for 15 & 2 for 25 as far as ive learned they are aggressive to their own kind why would they do this?

People might have more than one tank at home and want one for each tank?

the average fish keepercould not house 2 of these could they?when i asked about them being kept seperate they said no they are fine together and when i asked about their adult size they said "not big" :/

how big were they in the shop ??? i'm sure they were only about £5 each in my lfs these were about 3 inches long & from what i've read they need 75 + gallon tanks & are agressive to their own kind.
i really wanted them but decided against it as my biggest tank is only 59 uk gallons :D

Two knife fish of any tipe can't live in a tank, because they use a weak current of electricity to navigate, if there were two they would be wery confused, and there is a big possability they would die because of it.

And they grow huge...up to 2 and a half feet in the wild. Having said that most LFS's IME keep them together in tanks....no saying it's right, but they do...

im going to disagree..there are plenty of people that keep more than one knife fish together. you just need the correct tank size to do so.

im still gonna disagree...seen it done many times..and these ghost knives have been together for years...doing great..each has their own territory
