Better Half Question

My better half wanted me to ask this question to members to stop herself worrying. When she polishes and uses spray polish, will the fumes do any harm to the fish if she sprays away from the air pump intake? She doesn't spray anywhere near the pump but worries the fumes may be sucked in and poison the fish thru the air stone.

Spray polish can be very harmful to fish, yes. Either turn the air pump off (do you actually need to be running one?) or spray the polish onto the cloth (preferably in another room) rather than into the air.
 
You can easily wipe out a tank if that stuff gets in the water
