I'm so confused!
As much as I love bettas, I know that females are compatible with rams, and I was wondering what I could stock in my 64L.
First off, would a pair of rams/a single ram even be able to live happily in a 64L or would they need more space?
My current stocking plan goes along the lines of
1x Male Betta
4x Platies
6x Endlers
4x Pygmy Cories
+ whatever the three fry in my tank are (they were siphoned from a community tank full of live bearers!)

What would I have to take out/change in my stocking to accommodate rams, providing they would be able to 'fit', of course!
Thank you for any advice given! :)

i have kept rams with both female and male (and males i thought were females ) the ram although much smaller than the bettas would happily show them who was boss at feeding time, i rekon if the males weren't PK's he would of tearded them up but as they were short fins they got away.

If you do decide to try it just make sure you have a backup for the betta :good:

Aha, I don't think I'd like to risk it, especially since if I get a betta I'd like to get the prettiest one I can find. I suppose it really all comes down to whether I find a pretty betta before I find some pretty rams!

I would not put rams into an aquarium that small and I would have 6 Corys instead of 4. Apart from that, stocking looks good.. do make sure the livebearers don't breed out of control.

Longfin Rams are beauts i just got one from a memeber and i love him alreay

Wow, just searched it on google images, they look very nice!
I'm pretty sure that in my LFS they have some juvenile balloon rams, which are pretty cute, but I'm not sure if the ballooning would cause any health problems?

Okay.
I'm going to have all females, and I'm hoping that the betta will take care of any fry. Even if he doesn't, I could always give them to my friend. I'm slowly nudging her to getting a bigger, better aquarium..

GOOD!

Remember to remind her that bigger is better!

Generally it does.

That's what I thought. Thank you for clearing it up, though :)
