Bettas Choice

I'm about to set up a betta tank (hopefully will be a breeding tank) and I was wondering if sand or gravel was best for the cute little guys?

iv used both, i find sand is easier to clean and the bettas liek it best as they tend to rest on the bottom alot. its also easy to clean

Have lots of sand free so will be using that!
