Bettas And Platys

Can bettas go with platys??? I am not getting platys its just I really had to ask that. I am not really even sure what a platy is really So Can platys go with bettas?

It is usually not reccomended, however some people have found bettas to be fine with other fish. As long as the tank has lots of space and there are many hiding spots so neither type of fish would really be able to interact with each other, it may be possible. However I would have an extra tank on backup for the betta in case it does not work out.
