Bettas And Dwarf Gouramis

Hi ive got two dwarf gouramis two danios and a common plec in a cycled 10 gallon tank and i was wondering wether it would be ok to add a single male betta? Im worried about fin nip

bettas and gouramis arnt recommended unlest you have massive tanks so i wouldnt
common plecs get 2 foot so that will need to go but you could get 6 corys.

I wouldn't do it. I keep a female betta with mine but a male will probably take the gourami for another male betta.

Edit: WAITWHATDIDIJUSTREAD! You will want to either take the pleco back or start saving for a bigger tank... common plecos can grow to over a foot in length... that's probably bigger than your tank!

Also, the danios NEED at least 4 buddies... they are schooling fish and will take their aggression out on your other fish if they have no friends to bug.

Sigh--- Don't you just looove pet store knowledge lol!

Thanks for your help my pleco will be going into my brothers 240l tank when hes a bit bigger and had school of danios only two remaining as black shark was aggresive, he has been taken bak to pet store cheers

i kept a male betta with 2 dwaf honey goruais and the betta just chased them constantly

ive kept a betta with a Gold Gourami and 3 plecs successfully with no problems. Granted the gourami was very very old (nearlly 4yrs and now passed bless him) but there was never any issues. i wouldnt recommend it in a small tank but a 3ft should be fine, (thats what i have)

that still isnt big enough they need at the very min a 5*2*2 foot tank
