ok my betta livingston has a what looks like a zit on his face. eariler in the week his skin was peeling and on friday a preformed a water change on his 5 gallon tank. 100% of the water was removed and replaced with polor spring water. none of his old water stayed in, (he wasn't happy about hanging in his half gallon when all this was occuring) i then treated the water with the stress coat (by api,) aquium salt then aquisol. the peeling went away but today he has what looks like a zit or a blister. (it looks like a blister i would get its clear.
he is showing no signs of being sick, he is pretty active like normal. and trying to kill my computer like normal. i should also mention his filter is brand new i just replaced it last monday. and he has a heater, his tank is currently 81-82 degrees.

the blister is between his mouth and eye on his left side. can;t upload photo its to big.
please help he is my baby and often time my only compainon at school. i don't want to loose my little buddy. T.T

has he got a cloudy eye at all, my fish had what looked lyk a zit lyk u explained and a couple of days later it progressed into pop eye, he is still recovering himself now, hope he will be ok!

i treated him with myxazin, it looks as thought it is starting to clear up just a few days after the treatment began

hope ure lil guy is ok sailorknight :good:

thanks

paul

his eyes are clear. like i said he still a bundle of energy. he is not acting like he is sick at all.

if i was you keep a close eye on him, feed him on a good diet of foods, live, frozen etc.

if you spot the first sign of sickness get him treated right away on a good medicine, or post on here to see if we can help you

thanks

paul

Peeling skin can be bad water quallity, parasites, to bacterial.
Can we take a look at your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
The spot does it have a red circling around the edges, or a red spot in the centre.

no red circling, it looks like a blister.
his water quality came back and great condition, 0's on all accounts. which is good because the water is new. only changed it this friday

Sounds like what my Afia (RIP) had except her little 'zits' occured on her lower jaw/chin area. She acted totally normal though so I really didn't think much of them. They worried me but since she acted normal I ignored them.
They ended up being bacterial something or another and when they popped they took part of her jaw with it. She eventually bloated up, developed dropsy and passed away.

I don't want to scare you or anything, but it could be nothing, it could be something.

today it turned white but it doesn't look as big as it was. i have been using something called betta revive on him. he still seems pretty active he also has three gold flakes under his eye on the same side.

gold flakes?? somnds like somthig weird,, ask modaz or 5teady they know more than mee, my one female had a zit lookin thig was some bad bacteria it killed her in a month i just couldnt get rid of it,, try using some melifix, but only 10 drops per gallon cause bettas are senstive to it,, ask sombody though,, i am not really sure what it is
