i noticed about 3 days a go that my betta's tail fin looks kind of degenerated, i cant tell if its ripped or been nipped at it just looks as if its been worn down, and yesterday on part of his tail fin i noticed a small white fluffy looking ball. i dont know what it is or whats causing it and i thought id ask for advice, i've just been doing daily water changes for the past 3 days hoping it will help as i dont know what else to do, can anybody help?

You can try adding melafix? I know not everyone believes it works but i think i've seen improvement while using it...
Clean water really is the best thing but make sure there's nothing in the tank he could be snagging his tail on like ornaments or plants.c

Keep up with the water changes and keep the water clean and you should be fine.

thanks for the replys :) i've already seen a bit of an improvement :) as the fluffy white stuff has gone now :) and his tail doesnt look as bad as it did, i've never tried using melafix i shall have to invest in some and give it a go, thankyou :good:
