could a male betta that is ok with shrimps be in with any type of tetra if so what tetra (hes a viel tail so no fin nippers) not sur eon tank size yet (obv suatable for the betta and the tetras but that would be bought to fit)

I've always had success with male and female VTs and neon tetras. I know people say they dont go together but have never had the slightest problem.

i never had a problem either, even with males with long fins.
just try it and see. and have a back up in case it doesnt work out.
cheers

First off..........what size tank will they be going in?

Ensure the tank is planted well and you shouldn't have any issues. I would go with the smaller ranges of tetra and avoid bleeding hearts and others that are bigger in size.

I've had no issues with cardinals, black neons and neons. You should be ok but as said above, have a back up plan, incase it doesn't go to plan :good:

sorry forgot to say the intended tank was taken off ebay

Bettas can be with tetras- but you have to watch out for some- my silver-tips are little devils  Before you get any tetra, research to see if they nip fins. Also, when you go to chooose them, look for calm ones instead of the ones that are wiledly chasing each other
Zophie B-)
