Betta With Sore On Side

** Does anyone have any ideas s to how to treat this?

Current meds: Pimafix 2.5ml 1x daily for 3 days so far
Salt bath (2tsp salt/ 1 gal h2o) 1x daily for 5 min for 2 days so far
Stress Coat 2.5ml 1 time so far

Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior): Started out as a small
white pimple about 10 days ago, on 7th day i noticed it had "opened" into a sore and area was swollen. on days 8 & 9 the sore has enlarged. "Elvis" seems tired. Came to the surface at feeding time tonight but didn't eat any betta pellets. Spends most of the time on bottom (in his cave) but comes to the surface for air when I open the tank lid.


Volume and Frequency of water changes: 1x a month 50%, dose of stress zyme+

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: Treatment so far: 2.5ml 1x daily for past 3 days,
salt bath (2tsp aquarium salt/1 gal h2o for 5 min) for the past 2 days

Tank inhabitants: 5 white clouds (everyone gets along fine)

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration): none

Exposure to chemicals: none

This looks quite a bit like what my Pearl Gourami had. I hope you get some help. I'm new and still don't have much idea.

Looks more like an injury than a fungal infection or disease, are there any sharp objects, or sharp edged decorations in the tank. I have found out that some rock formations from big chain stores or similar can harm bettas. Just watch out for my infections and in such a small tank, it'll be easy to do daily water changes to keep him healthy until it heals. Also I would watch out with any fore coming swim bladder problems and feed a bit less as he looks bloated
