Betta Water Conditioner?

Hello, I just discovered water conditioner that is labelled specifically for Bettas. Do I have to use this special Betta conditioner or is it just a ploy? I have been using Tetra Aquasafe water conditioner thus far. I don't have my Betta yet but when I saw this I was wondering if I have been using the wrong conditioner in my Betta tank. The Betta water conditioner is about twice the price of the regualar water conditioner. I will buy it if I need to, but would rather not spend twice the money on a product if I don't need to. I looked at the ingredients and can't seem to find a difference between the 2 products, both are from Tetra.

i just use a basic water conditioner thats for tropical and coldwater tanks i cant remember the make of it but it cost me about £3-£4.I wouldn't worry about betta conditioners, any good make will do!

same as above, ive been useing api stress coat, and by my bettas in there tanks seam fine

thanks guys, I kinda figured is was a sales gimick but wanted to be sure, I will just stick with my current water conditioner then.

Yeah, sounds like a gimmick to me I'm afraid, my guy gets the same water conditioner as everyone else lol
