Betta W/ 1 Inflamed Gill. Help Me?

my betta has one inflamed gill but its not red hes acting normal and my other fish are acting just fine too but im not sure what to do or if i should even worrie. it looks like he maybe got it stuck and pulled up his gill somehow what should i do? any ideas????

You should test your water, then probably do a water change. Gill flaps can stick out from ammonia poisoning. If you test your water and everything is ok then just keep an eye out to see if anymore symptoms appear, if inflammation does appear then it could be something like gill flukes or bacterial gill infection. But I would do nothing but keep the water clean unless some other symptoms appear.
 
Could you be much more specific? Because not being "normal" could just be anything.

Also, gills are their secondary method of getting oxygen from water, the labrynth being the first. So if you were worried he could suffocate, chances are he won't. Doesn't mean he won't have trouble, but likely he won't die from it. Pictures are nice, and lots of visual descriptions please?
 
sorry i dont have a cam to put pics up wiht. hes acting normal like nothing is wrong with him execpt the one inflamed gill but it isnt bothering him at all as far as i can tell
 
Thanks to everyone who helped me my betta is fine and he isnt having any more prolbems!!!!!!!!!
