I really feel like banging my head against a wall

I thought I'd managed to clear his finrot up, it's been a week and a half since I started treatment and 2 days ago, I could see his tail regrowing.

I decided to fully clean his tank out, as it's all slimy from stress coat  so, I placed him in a breeders net, in the female betta's tank.

I was watching him flare and started to see a tiny cut in his tail, that wasn't there when I moved him over (I've been strictly monitoring him for the last week and a half). Each time he flared, it got bigger and bigger, until the end of the membrane feel off

He's back in his tank now, divider up, and I can not seen any other rips or nips.

Is this tail blowing or finrot?

his membranes are probably still thin from the finrot. just make sure there is no erosion of the fins. should heal just fine. feed high protein like frozen/freezedried bloodworms (if using freezedried, soak them until soft proir to feeding) and keep the water clean. probably not much to worry about.
cheers
