Hello, iv just bought 2 pregnant female guppys, knowing the fry will
get eaten by other tank mates, is it ok to feed my betta a few of the fry?

I dont like the idea, but yes betta's will happily eat the fry.

i know morally its not a good idea, but then lots of fish require feeder fish,
so betta healthwise its ok?

you can feed the fry to your betta but you might just get a betta like my girls who wont eat the fry at all. that was half the reason i moved some of my females into my community tank to begin with.

so a fry might grow up in my betta tank, will he beat up on it?

if its a he. io would say YES... but it is not uncommon to have a very placid fighter in a community tank full of fry. i myself have done it with my breeding tank full of guppy fry and although one or two went missing not were bullied. even with there long flowing tails.
good luck

well i wouldnt say hes placid, he jumps out to bite my finger
when i feed him, so hopefully hell see the fry as a tasty meal.

If you feed your betta live food already, like brine shrimp and bloodworms, and he actively pursues them, then this will probably work.

he hasnt had live food yet, only pallets and frozen bloodworm,
so if he eats them it will be a free source of food for him.
the guppy is about to burst shes so fat, not long now.

They aren't really any better for your betta fish than any other food. I would say that they are barely benefitially nutritious at all, just a little protein really. Morally i stand against feeding live, but if you must, you'll have no problems.
