Betta Then Other Fish

Hey, i have just freed me small 30 litre tank of fry which are all grown up now and i am very tempted to get a betta as i have always wanted one! Im thinking for getting a blue VT. Tempt me more by telling me whats great about bettas!

They come in a variety of colors, when given proper care are fairly easy to care for, and can live fairly long, around 6 years (or more if your very lucky)
The only drawback is you can only keep 1 male in a tank, and female you need about 5 if you want them as a group, otherwise you can only keep 1 female at a time too.

They have a great personality IMO, good to keep and the care is pretty easy, if you keep it up. Try another tail type, i like VTs but they are common, buy from a breeder too and not a lfs (quality is better).

if yu are going to keep females, plant the tank well, in a 30 ltr, i would say a max of 5-6

I actually think of this as a plus. You don't have to buy a whole school of them to keep them happy like tons of other fish out there. They make a good "centerpiece" fish in a community tank too, provided you have the right tank mates and a gentle betta.

I also like how they always look grumpy :C

Dragons have a bigger scaling than normal bettas, if you were to breed him, this dragon gene could appear in his fry.

Its abit bare atm, im gonna black out side pannles as it is in a ver small room and gets too much sunlight , i also have a big clump of moss that i am going to tie to a coconut cave when i get one, im also getting some jet black pollished stones and maybe some more plants want to leave floor room for corrys tho

Oh and the reason it looks so green is coz of my green blinds xD
