Betta tanks.

It really doesn't matter what you use, as long as it is atleast 1 gallon and it can hold water. Kritter keepers can be used, 5 or 10 gallon glass tanks can be used, large jars or vases can be used...rubbermaid containers...bowls...etc.

If you shop at SAMS WHOLESALE go to the chip department---they sell stuff like cheeseballs, animal crackers and other food items in large see through plastic containers, these containers (the larger ones) hold aprox. 2 gallons or maybe a little more. These are usually pretty cheap, about 5.00----if you got time go to a yard sales, you can pick up alot of 1 gallon or better containers and or fish bowls, aquariums little to nothing.

Sounds like your from USA? 'wholesale' 'yard sales' ;), and i'm from the uk, so i a) cant go to sams wholesale, and i aint ever seen a garden sale here neither.. but i'll be sure to look out for contaners like that.
Thanks.

A good place for cheap tanks is Wilkinsons. They sell 3g tanks for £4.99, or 1g tanks for £1.89 (but they're a bit too small IMO and round), and they also do utterly brilliant tupperware/plastic containers that are perfect AND (and this is the best bit :shifty: ) stackable. They do 6.5 litre ones, although they're a bit narrow for adults, but you can get bigger ones for excellent prices.

They also have nice natural gravel and cheap fake plants. I like the ferns best, they are a nice green colour, soft, natural looking and spread out a lot.

Hey, sorry Luke_e, didn't realize you were in the UK--ya your right I guess sometimes I don't realize how much of a blessing it is to have so much at our fingertips here in the USA---not meaning anything negative whatsoever about the UK--I was stationed at BENTWATERS AFB, close to Ipswich back in 82-84 enjoyed my time there and loved meeting new friends there, it was a great experience--like to bring my wife and kids over someday, but money is a big issue there. Wish you the best at getting finding a container for your betta.
