Betta Tank

What should I put in my betta tank, I have 2 ghost shrimp and a snail in with my betta but the tank still looks empty. Any ideas?

Or were you talking fishy companions? If so it's a bit hit n miss as to whether your betta will accept them. Do you have a spare tank? Or just the betta tank?

If you have a spare tank and have room in it then you could try your betta with some of the smaller shoalers. That way if he doesn't like them then they can be re-homed to the large tank. What are the dimensions of the 5gal?

I wouldn't put anything in with a betta in a 5g tank! Just about the only shoalers that would work might be ember tetra, and pygmy corydoras, maybe something other than the 2 I mentioned.

Bettas don't really like fish that swim past them over, and over, and over. And in a 5g tank, there is no escape! A 10g tank is minimum for tankmates imo.
