Hi,
I am looking into getting into bettas but I need to buy a tank for them.... I really like the look of the expensive hexagonal aquariums that have a tube that connects it up to another one, so I wondered if I could buy two small Hex-a-fun aquariums and drill a hole in the tanks and then glue a clear PVC tube connecting the two using Aquarium sealent.... do you think its possible??

Thanks,
PeeWee

I don't know if it's possible, but sure sounds like an ambitious idea! ;)

you might want to ask this in the tropical chit-chat forum...

You can definitely do it. It sounds a-pretty-pretty cool too 8)

Only downside I can see is if the sealant or hole isn't 100% right you can have some major leakage. Cleaning the connecting tube might also be a huge pain.

I would just save up the money to buy the bigger hexs.

What happens if it dosen't work and you are left with two hexs with holes in them and $50 out of pocket.

Hi guys thanks for the reply, I think I wil go ahead with it I think........As for it not working then there is the risk but I think it will be more fun and rewarding to do a DIY tank....
