hi y'all, my male betta is still sick. I'm still dealing with the Popeye which has cleared the cloudiness but not the source of the infection. I don't know what he has. All I know is his beautiful scales are all whitish slimy and his fins look good because I was giving him Epsom salt baths. He is now on erythromycin and I'm following the instructions and it is now day for. He's not Desiring food and he prefers to go to the bottom and when he sees me he hides in his little corner. He did eat a pellet yesterday. What other antibiotic can I use? Thank you

I have researched a lot over the years and salt baths do work. Here's a video to show you exactly what to do. I hope this helps!
I also use and love, Pimafix by API but not sure if it can be used in a beta size tank.
Best of luck to you both!

I have never used erythromycin and the best advice I can give is follow the instructions.

I would not use any of the meds ending in -fix with bettas or gouramis. These meds have aromatic oils in them which can interfere with the labyrinth organ of bettas and gouramis.

I would not use them with any other fish either because of the oils, but that's just me.
