okay so ive taken in some fish! and 2 of them were bettas, all are fine except these 2

the blue one i can fix as he only has some ripped fins, he seems fine

but the pastel pink one is a little worse for wear, he has trouble staying upright, he'll just fall to the side and lie there, but then you can go over to him and he will swim off, rinse and repeat, i also think he has trouble going down

i can sort of see a lump on his side, i dont think his spine is bent though, i think its just they way ive taken the pic as he was falling over

im thinking swim bladder? what can i do?

Hi Mewmew!
I'm thinking swim bladder too.
Unfortunatly, there isn't a whole lot to do. The disease spreads fast too. My friend's goldfish got it one morning, and died 24 hours later. You could try quarrinting him and NOT feeding him anything but a pea...

hellooo =]

aww shame, hes a pretty little thing =[ i dont know how long he's been like that, i meant to ask

its not contagious is it? :\

ill prepare the pea now!

Hi!
Yeah. Swim Bladder is pretty awful but not contagious. Swim Bladder is sometimes genetics though. (Fancy Goldfish are noutourious for it!)
With my friends fish it seemed to get worse by the hour... Peas might help remember to pop the shell off of it though.
I feed my betta a little tiny piece of a pea once a week, (just to keep things running smoothy.)
