Most consider these to be tail types and the fish definately does not have a plakat tail. Sorry for offending you. The part about "a prayer" was from my original post response when I thought you were posting 2 fish, one you thought was a PK and one a HM.
Yes, as I said, I would be proud to own the little fellow. But it would not be fair to sell him for breeding w/o warning the buyer of the implications, imo.
If I was not clear in my post that I liked the little fellow, but recommended that he not be sold for breeding, I'm sorry. It would help if you read posts more carefully and asked with courtesy, before you get excited.
When Bettas breed they carry their genes and pass them along. When the offspring are bred traits will pop up that are unexpected w/o a knowledge of the fish's inherited genetic lines. So serious breeders expect that the Bettas they buy for breeding are of lines that can be trusted or followed so that the offspring can be predicted with reliability.
Your original post was a bit unclear. I first replied thinking that you had two fish, then saw your second post and edited my post. The edit was not so clear. I originally thought you were posting pics of two Bettas: one you thought was a HM and one you thought was a PK. So I believe my original response is reasonable. But I should have covered all my bases when I edited. I did by the way still not know that you meant that the fish was a cross breed until Wisperian posted.
Your original post would be considered a troll if it had been deliberate. Others were also confused by your original post. It begged a response from a fool like me
