Betta Not Flaring?

i just got my 1st double tail male!!!
hes kinda small but hes not flaring or making a bubble nest.
why isnt he???
i have a female ready for him!!
p.s. i've kept bettas be4 a long while back

He might be too small.
Some males are just naturally passive and don't do either.

i had a male in the past thats the same size and he flared.
my betta is a double veil tail betta
i felt so lucky!!!
he was only a buck lol
my lfs dont know that there doing!!!!

If this is the same male you just posted about that was really skinny then maybe he is underfed and or unwell.

You need to feed him up for a couple of weeks before even thinking of trying to put him with a female otherwise she will just kick his ass and you could end up with a lovely dead DTSD male.

Take it easy, they don't all blow bubble nests, they are as individual as you or I.
