I have two bettas in a 2.5 gallon and they have been jumping the divider. Not good since one is considerably smaller. To avoid this I was thinking about putting the smaller in my 55 gallon. I am not sure how the other fish would take to him. So I ask, please look at my 55 gallon in my signiture and respond if you see any potential problems. Thank you!

I agree, a 55 is too big for a betta, they don't do well in tanks that size. Also I'm assuming your community tank has filtration? Also a stress factor for bettas. If you are having trouble with your current divider, you can buy plastic craft canvas for super cheap, like 30 cents a sheet that works well as dividers

I have a ten gallon divided in three that has some jumpers in it as well, I keep the water between half and three quarters. Doesn't look as nice on the eye, but the fish are all safe in their own quarters :)
